August - Spiritualizing August 02, 2015 09:00
Dr Ferraro's tip for August is a spiritualizing mask of green clay and frankincense essential oil.
Basic face mask
Fine green clay: 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive oil: 1 teaspoon Still mineral water: 1/2 cup Gold Frankincense essential oil: 3 drops
Pour the mineral water into a cup, add the Olive oil and stir. Keep stirring as you add the the essential oil and the Clay a small amount at a time. Mix vigorously until you get a smooth and shiny cream. If you prefer a thicker mask, add a little more clay. If you prefer a softer mask, add a little water. Spread the mask on your face and forehead, leave it on for 10 minutes. You can then remove it using a sponge damped in warm water.
Foot bath / hand bath
The foot bath and hand bath also serve to indirectly reinforce our will. Pour 1 tablespoon of fine clay in a basin or bowl containing warm water (as hot as you can bear, but not too hot to cause scorching of the skin), dip your feet massaging them and rubbing each other. Alternate the feet and hands. Stop when the water has cooled. 3 drops of Gold Frankincense essential oil can be added to the water.

Welcome to Argital UK! July 09, 2015 09:00
Welcome to Argital UK! I am a very proud partner of Argital Natural Cosmetics in the UK. I am pleased to introduce you to Argital's Clay and Allergen Free ranges for face and for Baby.
I first discovered Argital Cosmetics in 2003 after meeting Dr Ferraro, the founder of Argital. I then became more conscious of the ingredients that go into cosmetics and what consequently may be absorbed into our bloodstream. Cosmetic ingredients can penetrate the skin and cause diverse reactions, be they good or bad. Mintel (2010) state that there are 21 million allergen suffers in the UK, one of which am I. Allergies are very common during childhood with 50 % of children and young people suffering from one or more allergy in the UK (Journal of Clinical and Experimental Allergy, 2009). It therefore makes sense that we give equal importance to what we put onto our skin as much as we do what we consume in our diets and understand how synthetic chemicals may affect our health.
Based on Anthroposophical research, Argital cosmetics work to bring harmony to the skin and do not contain any harsh ingredients. They are chemical and preservative free and are certified natural and organic. Clay is the base ingredient in all of Argital's cosmetics and is well known for its anti-ageing, healing, balancing and detoxifying properties. The Allergen Free ranges also contain Violet extract, which has a soothing and calming effect on the skin. The Allergen Free ranges are particularly gentle on the skin, and were created specifically for sensitive skin and those prone to allergic reactions. The ingredients were exclusively chosen to both heal and protect. Specific skin irritation tests have been carried out by the University of Pavia and patch tests resulted negative in accordance with the Allergens of DL 15/02/2005 N.50. These products can been used to heal sensitive skin and may avoid recurrent reactions.
By applying Argital cosmetics you will be nurturing your skin on a holistic level to create balance and harmony.
See Allergy UK for more information on skin allergies to cosmetics.
The EWG Cosmetics Database also has a lot of information relating to ingredients used in cosmetics.
Dr Giuseppe Ferraro, the founder of Argital, is an active researcher of Anthroposophic Medicine and Anthroposophy. Access Dr Ferraro's blog to read more about his research.
More information on Anthroposophy can be found on the UK Anthroposophical Society website.
